This policy explains what information FlyerUtility collects when you use our tools, why we use it, and the choices you have. FlyerUtility (flyerutility.com) is an initiative of Thousand31 Technologies (“we”, “us”). You do not need an account, and we never ask for your name, email address or payment details in order to use a tool.
1. Information we collect
- What you enter and the files you open stay on your device. The calculators, converters, image tools and PDF tools run in your own browser. The numbers you type and the files you open are processed on your device and are not uploaded to our servers.
- Two tools contact other services to work. The currency converter sends the amount and the two currency codes (and, like any web request, your IP address) to the Frankfurter exchange-rate service. The prayer times tool, if you allow it to use your location, sends your latitude and longitude to the Aladhan prayer-times service. The Qibla and Ramadan tools use your location only inside your browser.
- Settings saved on your device. To be convenient, some tools remember things in your browser’s storage, for example your recent and saved tools, the city you chose in the Ramadan calendar, the last signature you made in Sign PDF (and your date format), and an automatic copy of your work in the Image Editor so you can pick up where you left off. This stays on your device and is never sent to us.
- Usage statistics (only if you agree). If you accept analytics, we use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and understand which tools are useful. It uses cookies and collects information such as the pages viewed, your approximate location (country or city level), device and browser type, the website you came from and how long you stay. We do not use it to identify you personally. If you decline, Google Analytics is not loaded at all.
- Advertising (only if you agree). FlyerUtility is supported by Google AdSense. If you accept advertising, Google may show ads on our pages and use cookies and similar technologies to measure them and, where the law allows, to personalise them. If you decline, the AdSense code is not loaded at all. Learn more in Google’s advertising policy.
- Technical logs. Our hosting provider (Amazon Web Services: S3 and CloudFront) processes your IP address and request details to deliver the website and keep it secure. Such logs are kept for a limited time.
- Messages you send us. If you email us at thousand31.dev@gmail.com, we receive your email address and your message and use them only to reply.
2. Cookies and local storage
The table lists what FlyerUtility stores on your device. You can change your choice at any time with the button below or the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of every page.
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration | Type |
|---|---|---|---|---|
fu_consent (local storage) | FlyerUtility | Remembers your cookie choice so we do not ask again on every visit. | 12 months | Necessary |
fu_recent, fu_saved, fu_ramadan, signPdf* (local storage), flyerutility-image-editor (IndexedDB) | FlyerUtility | Remember your recent and saved tools, your Ramadan city, your last signature and date format, and your Image Editor session, for your own convenience. | Until you clear your browser data | Necessary (features you use) |
_ga, _ga_ZZ19FJZBFV | Google Analytics | Tell visitors apart and keep the state of a visit, so visits can be counted. | Up to 2 years | Analytics (only with your consent) |
Advertising cookies (for example __gads, __gpi, IDE) | Google AdSense | Show ads and measure how they perform, and where allowed personalise them. | Set by Google, up to about 13 months | Advertising (only with your consent) |
3. Other services we use
- Google Fonts. The fonts on our pages are loaded from Google’s servers, so Google receives your IP address and browser details when a page loads.
- Code libraries. Several PDF, image and document tools load open-source libraries from public content delivery networks (cdnjs by Cloudflare, and jsDelivr), and the OCR tool also downloads language data from a public host. These requests expose your IP address to those networks. Your files are still processed on your device.
- Frankfurter (currency converter) and Aladhan (prayer times), as described above.
- Google Analytics and Google AdSense, only if you accept them.
We do not sell your information.
4. Why we use your information
- To run the tools and keep the website working and secure (our legitimate interest in providing the service).
- To understand how the tools are used so we can improve them, and to show ads that fund the website (your consent; you can withdraw it at any time in Cookie settings).
- To answer your messages and to meet our legal obligations.
5. How long we keep it
Anything saved in your browser stays on your device until you delete it (for example by clearing your browser data). Analytics data is kept for the limited period set in our Google Analytics account. Emails are kept only as long as needed to deal with your request.
6. Sharing and transfers
We share information only with the service providers named above, who process it for us or on their own account as described in their policies. They may process data in countries other than your own, including the United States, under their own safeguards. We do not sell your personal information.
7. Your choices and rights
You can change or withdraw your cookie choice at any time using Cookie settings, and you can delete everything saved by the tools by clearing your browser’s site data. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to ask us for access to, correction or deletion of your personal information, to object to or restrict its use, to withdraw consent, and to complain to your local data protection authority. To make a request, email thousand31.dev@gmail.com.
8. Children
FlyerUtility is a general-purpose tool site and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Our games site, FlyerGames, has its own privacy policy.
9. Security
The website is delivered over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. Because your files and entries are processed on your own device, they are not exposed to us. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we keep what we collect to a minimum.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last changed. If a change is significant, we will ask for your choice again.
