What this tool does
- Rotate every page at once — one click turns a whole scanned document the right way up
- Or rotate page by page — fix just the two landscape pages in the middle of a portrait report
- Auto-straighten landscape pages — one button rotates only the pages that are wider than they are tall
- Live thumbnails — see exactly how each page will come out before you download
- Lossless — rotation is stored as page metadata, so text stays selectable and graphics stay vector-sharp
Why rotate a PDF
- A sheet-fed scanner picked up a page the wrong way round
- A phone photo of a document came out in landscape
- A spreadsheet or chart was printed to PDF sideways to fit the page
- You merged files from different sources and some pages face the wrong way
Rotation is metadata, not a redraw
Every PDF page carries a /Rotate value that tells a reader which way up to display it. This tool changes that value instead of rasterising and redrawing the page, which is why the result is byte-for-byte as sharp as the original and why the file size barely moves. A page rotated here will also print the right way up, because printers honour the same flag.
Frequently asked questions
Are my PDFs uploaded anywhere?
No — the file is opened and rewritten entirely inside your browser using JavaScript. Nothing is uploaded to a server, so your document never leaves your device.
Does rotating lose quality?
No — rotation only changes each page's orientation flag. The page content itself is copied across untouched, so fonts, vector graphics and searchable text are identical to the original.
Can I rotate only some pages?
Yes — use the ↻ button on an individual page thumbnail to rotate just that page, or use Rotate all to turn the whole document at once.
What does “Straighten landscape pages” do?
It rotates only the pages that are currently wider than they are tall, which is the usual fix for a scan where a few sheets went through the feeder sideways.
Can I rotate several PDFs at the same time?
Yes — drop in as many PDFs as you like. Each one is rotated and saved separately, and multiple files come back together in a ZIP.
