How layers work
Your photo sits on the bottom, with any text and image layers stacked on top of it in the order shown in the Layers tab. Click a layer in the list — or click it directly in the preview — to select it and edit its text, color, size, opacity or rotation. Drag a layer anywhere on the preview to move it, and drag the round handle on an image layer's corner to resize it. Use the up and down arrows in the layers list to bring a layer to the front or send it to the back.
Frequently asked questions
Is my photo uploaded anywhere?
No — every edit is drawn directly onto a canvas element inside your browser using JavaScript. Your photo, any overlay images, and the final result never leave your device.
Can I add more than one text or image layer?
Yes — add as many text and image layers as you like from the Layers tab. Each one has its own independent position, size, opacity and rotation, and you can reorder or delete them at any time.
Can I crop and resize the same photo?
Yes — crop first to select the region you want to keep, then resize to an exact width and height, or scale by a percentage. Rotate and flip are also available.
What adjustments can I make to a photo?
Brightness, contrast, saturation, grayscale, sepia, invert and hue rotation, plus a blur effect. All of them are live sliders so you can see the result before exporting.
What formats can I export to?
PNG, JPEG or WebP, with an adjustable quality setting for JPEG and WebP.
